An accomplished financial analyst currently working with a New York-based hedge fund, Ryan Hoadley utilizes medium and long-term investing models to obtain the highest returns possible for his clients. Employing near-term catalysts to facilitate portfolio growth as well, Mr. Hoadley focuses on a wide range of reliably performing industries, although he takes a specific interest in consumer goods, transportation, and chemical manufacturing. A strong proponent of research-driven investing, he devotes a considerable amount of time and energy to assessing the potential of companies that some analysts might otherwise ignore. To this end, Mr. Hoadley closely studies an investment vehicle’s history as well as the available market indicators that might affect returns, while concurrently projecting future earnings—a system that has proven successful on numerous occasions. Ryan Hoadley embarked on his career in the investment sector after graduating from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2004. After accepting a position in the Consumer and Retail Group at Banc of America Securities, he undertook a number of projects beyond the basic responsibilities of his role, and was chosen to work independently with a select team of managing directors. Mr. Hoadley moved on to join AlpInvest Partners as an Associate in the private equity firm’s U.S. Co-Investments division. He spent two productive years at AlpInvest before departing to pursue new opportunities with another hedge fund. Outside of his professional life, Ryan Hoadley enjoys running, skiing, playing ice hockey, and participating in community service programs. A member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, he remains a big fan of the school’s athletic teams.
